R Player Privacy Policy

R Player is a local media player. This policy explains what the app accesses on your device, what stays on your device, and what (if anything) leaves your device.

1. Summary

We do not sell personal data.
We do not show ads and do not include advertising SDKs.
Playback library, favorites, playlists, and lock settings are stored on your device.
We do not operate a user account system in the app.

2. Data the app accesses on your device

Depending on your OS version and choices, R Player may request:

Videos and audio (media library) — to scan and play files you already have.
Notifications — for media playback controls while audio/video runs in the background.
Biometric / device lock APIs — only if you enable Private folder or App Lock unlock with biometrics.
Network access — only when you open a network stream URL you paste yourself (HTTPS).

R Player does not record microphone audio, does not place system overlays, and does not read call logs or SMS.

3. Local storage

On-device storage may include:

Scanned media metadata (title, duration, path/URI, folder grouping)
Playback progress, favorites, playlists, watch later, bookmarks
App settings (theme, gestures, equalizer preferences)
Optional PIN / pattern / password secrets for Private folder, Kids mode, or App Lock (stored locally)

Device backup of app data is disabled where possible so lock codes are less likely to leave the device via backup.

4. Features that handle sensitive-looking content

Private folder — hides selected media behind a local lock. This is not end-to-end cloud encryption.
Kids mode — simplifies the UI and hides advanced tools. It is not a content filter and is not “Designed for Families” certification.
Call recordings listing — if folders look like phone numbers (11 digits starting with 03 or 92), those audio files are kept out of the main Audio list and shown in a separate section. The app does not record phone calls.

5. Network streaming

If you paste an HTTPS media URL, the app connects to that host to play the file. We do not control third-party servers you choose. Prefer links you trust.

6. Sharing

The app does not share your media library with us or advertisers. If you use the device share sheet, content is shared only with the app or contact you select.

7. Children

R Player is a general-audience media player. Kids mode only simplifies menus. Do not rely on it as parental-control software.

8. Your choices

You can deny media or notification permissions in system settings (some features will not work).
You can clear app data / uninstall to remove local settings and library cache.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
