TouchSync lets trusted people share a device screen and, when the Android host
enables Accessibility, inject remote touches during an active session.
This policy explains what is accessed, what is transmitted, and what stays on your devices.
1. Summary
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not show ads and do not include advertising SDKs.
- There is no account system — sessions use short-lived private codes.
- Screen/audio media is streamed to your chosen peer for the session; signaling uses our servers.
2. Data the app accesses on your device
Depending on role and your choices, TouchSync may request:
- Screen capture (MediaProjection) — only when you start hosting and approve the system prompt. A foreground notification stays visible while sharing.
- Microphone / audio — optional session audio when capture includes audio.
- Camera — only if a camera path is used for media; not required for display share.
- Accessibility Service — optional, host-only, off by default. When you enable it, TouchSync can inject taps/gestures that a paired guest sends during an active session. It is intended for remote assistance / co-use between people you trust, not background surveillance.
- Clipboard — optional sync of clipboard text with your paired peer when you enable that setting.
- Notifications / foreground services — to keep the session alive while sharing.
- Network — to create/join sessions and exchange signaling (WebRTC setup) with
janjuacompanies.com.
3. What leaves your device
- Signaling — session code, device name, role, connection status, and WebRTC offer/answer/ICE candidates go through our HTTPS/Socket.IO signaling service.
- Media — screen (and optional audio) frames are sent peer-to-peer with WebRTC (DTLS/SRTP) to the guest you invited. We do not operate a permanent media archive.
- Remote control events — normalized pointer/gesture coordinates may travel over the signaling channel to the host during a live session.
- Optional clipboard text — only if clipboard sync is enabled, shared with the peer for that session.
Server-side session metadata is ephemeral for connection setup and is not sold.
We do not use analytics SDKs that profile you for advertising.
4. Local storage
On-device storage may include:
- Device display name and preference toggles (theme, haptics, clipboard sync, keep-awake)
- Recent session history on that device (codes, duration, peer name)
- Temporary reconnect hints for an active guest session
5. Accessibility & remote control
Accessibility is a sensitive Android capability. TouchSync requests it only so a paired guest can
control the host screen during a session you started. Disable Accessibility when you are not sharing.
Do not grant it to unknown people or leave sessions open unattended.
6. Browser / web companion
The web companion at touchsync-web
can share or view a browser screen. Browser-hosted shares are view-oriented; full OS injection
requires the Android app host with Accessibility enabled.
7. Children
TouchSync is intended for users 13+. It is not Designed for Families software and should not be
used to monitor children without appropriate consent and lawful basis.
8. Your choices
- Deny screen capture, mic, notifications, or Accessibility in system settings (related features will not work).
- End a session anytime; that stops media and remote control for that meeting.
- Turn off clipboard sync in Settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove local history and revoke services.
